The AI assistant integration was affected as well. No data was lost or changed. What happened The web server in front of our API could handle only 20 connections at a time. Each open browser tab keeps one connection open permanently for live updates such as notifications. Once about 20 tabs were open across all users, every connection was taken, and new requests waited until they timed out. The application and the database kept running normally throughout. Requests just couldn't get through to them. Resolution We moved the web server to a configuration built for long-lived live-update connections and raised the capacity from 20 to 400 simultaneous connections, with no extra memory cost. Service came back right after the change, and we confirmed the API, live updates and the AI assistant integration are all working. Prevention The connection limit is now roughly 20 times above current peak usage (about 18 connections). Our troubleshooting runbook now checks web server capacity first, so a similar issue can be found within minutes.
